Let us know you're coming and we'll save you a seat. Seating and shared parking can become limited during larger auctions, so your RSVP helps us prepare for you.
RSVP is encouraged, never required. Walk-ins are always welcome — even on auction day.

Can't make it into the auction room? You may still have several ways to participate in a Gulf Coast live auction.

Bid in the Room
Attend the auction in Fort Myers and bid during the live calling of the sale.

Leave an Absentee Bid
Visit Gulf Coast before the auction and leave your bid with our auction team in advance.

Arrange a Phone Bid
Phone bidding may be arranged in advance for customers with an established relationship with Gulf Coast.

Bid Online
Participate online when internet bidding is offered for the live sale.
Online-Only Auctions
When an auction is designated Online Only, bidding is conducted exclusively through Invaluable. There is no live auction-room bidding for an online-only sale. Non-local bidders complete payment through Invaluable; local customers may have in-store payment options where applicable.

Before You Bid or Consign

A little preparation makes the auction process easier for bidders, consignors and our auction team.

Not necessarily. Please give our auction team enough time to properly evaluate, research, photograph, catalog and market your property. Bringing an item in shortly before an auction does not guarantee that it can be included in that sale. The earlier we receive potential consignments, the better we can determine the appropriate auction and properly prepare the property.
What items do you accept for auction?
Gulf Coast considers a wide range of property including coins, jewelry, watches, artwork, antiques, collectibles, memorabilia and other interesting property. Not every item is appropriate for auction, and potential consignments are reviewed individually.
Submit Pictures for an Initial Review →How do I know whether I should sell directly or use an auction?
It depends on the property. Some items may be better suited for an immediate purchase, while others may benefit from exposure to competitive bidding. Gulf Coast can review the property and give you an opinion on which option may make more sense.
How far in advance should I consign?
As early as possible. Proper auction preparation takes time. Research, cataloging, photography, advertising and preview exposure all contribute to presenting property properly to bidders.
Do I need to RSVP to attend an in-person auction?
No. RSVP is encouraged so we can prepare seating and event accommodations, but it is never required. Walk-ins are welcome, including customers who discover the auction on the day of the sale.
Can I preview auction items before bidding?
Upcoming auction property may be available to preview through our Fort Myers auction gallery. Specific preview information is published with the individual auction as the sale approaches.
Can I bid without attending the auction?
Depending on the live auction, you may be able to leave an absentee bid in advance, arrange phone bidding if you have an established relationship with Gulf Coast, or participate through available online bidding.
How do online-only auctions work?
Online-only auctions are conducted through Invaluable. Registration and bidding take place through the online catalog rather than in the Fort Myers auction room. Non-local bidders complete payment through Invaluable; local customers may have in-store payment options where applicable.

Shipping is available for auction purchases subject to the individual item, destination and terms of the auction. Review the terms of the specific sale or contact our auction department if you have questions before bidding.
Where are Gulf Coast's in-person auctions held?
In-person Gulf Coast auctions are held at our Fort Myers headquarters and auction gallery at 14181 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite 110, Fort Myers, Florida 33912.
